Description
The Pall Cadence BioSMB PD is a continuous single-use multi-column chromatography system designed to optimize process development in the biopharmaceutical industry. The instrument includes a Dell OptiPlex 7040 running Windows 7 and BioSMB software. While the unit displays minor cosmetic issues and has not been fully tested, it was found to communicate with installed software and operate all pumps without faults. The BioSMB PD system streamlines conversion from batch to continuous chromatography, vastly reducing media costs, and is adaptable across various chromatography methods, employing up to 16 columns. Key features include a flow rate of up to 700 mL/min, multiple sensor outputs, 145 psi operating pressure, and a versatile valve system that avoids cleaning validation.

The Cadence BioSMB system was tested as far as we could. Unit is able to communicate with software with all pumps running and no faults. (System will need to be validated/calibrated to ensure accurate results. Inquire if validation/calibration is available for an additional cost.) Unit is preowned with slight wear from normal use.
